About St. Michael’s
St. Michael’s Academy provides a loving, non-denominational Christian environment in which preschool, kindergarten, and elementary students can be nurtured in their cognitive, physical, emotional, social and spiritual development. We strive to firmly establish in our students a solid foundation of learning and the inspiration to become followers of Christ, using the principles established in God’s Word.
St. Michael’s Academy students have a 1:8 teacher to student ratio for preschool classes and 14 or less students in all elementary classes, averaging 10 students per class. This enables our teachers to know each and every student’s needs and abilities and provide them with an abundance of attention deserve.

St. Michael’s Academy Philosophy of Education and Mission Statement
St. Michael’s Academy is a Christian school of excellence defined by Christ-centered academics, a nurturing, caring environment, and the development of virtuous students with a passion for lifelong learning and service.
“The end of learning is to know God, and out of that knowledge to love Him and imitate Him.”
John Milton
English Poet, Historian and Scholar
Our Mission
The mission of St. Michael’s Academy is to provide an exceptional, distinctly biblical, educational experience integrating a high standard of academic, spiritual, social-emotional, and physical development in collaboration with school families and the local community, resulting in the development of well-rounded, mature, prepared, confident students of high moral character.
Teacher Mission
The mission of each teacher here at St. Michael’s Academy, is to help each child learn and appreciate his/her unique gifts, talents and age-appropriate abilities as he/she explores the world God has made. We believe that the teacher’s role is to nurture the child’s innate love for learning, with the understanding that each child’s pace of growth in the cognitive, physical, emotional, social and spiritual development is not the same.
We base our student development plan on faith in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and the Word of God. We teach reverence for God and all that He made. We believe that it is in the collaboration of the parents, teachers and the child that the fullest development of each student is achieved.
Environment
St. Michael’s Academy environment is distinguished by the spirit of humility, which fosters friendliness, openness, understanding, gentleness, harmony and peace.
Our Verse
“Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it.”
– Proverbs 22:6 RSV
Motto and Mascot
The motto for St. Michael’s Academy is: “Letting His Light Shine.” The mascot is a spark. This motto and mascot convey our two-fold desire to promote in our students the pursuit of academic brilliance and the desire to carry and share the light of Christ.
Young Saints and Scholars
St. Michael’s goal is to encourage sanctity and scholarship. Saints are those who have learned to deeply love God and desire to serve Him. Scholars are those who have been provided a firm foundation to base their upward climb on the ladder of knowledge. However, the pursuit of knowledge must be motivated by a love for God. As John Milton stated, “The end of learning is to know God, and out of that knowledge to love Him and imitate Him.”
Principal’s Message

It is my pleasure to welcome you to St. Michael’s Academy! We are a dedicated team of educators and staff, joyfully serving preschool through 5th grade students and their families. Each day, we pray that God would help us see our students through His eyes—through a lens of love, grace, and purpose. Our desire is to nurture each child not only academically, but also spiritually, as they grow in the knowledge of who they are in Christ.
Our school days are filled not only with a strong academic curriculum, but also with enriching co-curricular classes, engaging activities, and special events—all designed to help our students learn, grow, and enjoy the journey along the way. From field trips and school assemblies to science fairs, family dances, our beloved Multicultural Festival and so much more, we offer our students not just academic enrichment, but meaningful life experiences that create lasting memories and build strong community.
We believe in partnering with parents throughout their child’s academic journey. There are so many meaningful ways for families to get involved—whether it’s joining the PTO, volunteering during special events, or simply coming into the classroom to read a story. At our school, parents are not just welcomed—they’re an essential part of the community that helps our students thrive.
We also believe in the importance of serving beyond our walls by partnering with our local community. Throughout the year, we support several local charities, and each grade level participates in a service project designed to instill compassion, generosity, and a heart for others. It’s our joy to teach students that their faith is lived out not just in words, but in action.
If you’re already part of our wonderful school family, welcome home! We’re so grateful to have you with us. If you’re searching for a kind, nurturing, and affordable private school for your little one, I want you to hear the very same words: Welcome home!
It is both a privilege and an honor to serve as the principal of this very special school.
